Unity Cofounders Charles and Myrtle Fillmore encouraged praise and thanksgiving as powerful spiritual disciplines! Modern science would not disagree with their assertion that a heart of gratitude really just makes us healthier, happier, and downright smarter people!
This Thanksgiving service will feature music by Scott Joplin, performed by Rev. Richard Loren Held.
A Pie Reception will follow. All are welcome to bring a favorite pie (although there’s always more than enough)!

USC’s Giving Tree installation affords the opportunity to celebrate souls, commemorate moments, extend blessings, and otherwise celebrate life.

Sanctuary Books and Gifts Grand Opening
Thanksgiving Eve. 5 p.m.
USC's Board of Trustees has elected to launch a pop-up shop for the holiday season. Join us before and after the Thanksgiving Eve service for the grand opening of Sanctuary Books and Gifts. This venture will launch fully funded through the generosity of anonymous donors, and it will boast items of inspiration and education, from core Unity books to singing bowls to quality soaps to holiday decor. All items offered will be fair trade or ethically sourced, including those of local artisans, creatives, and musicians. Tea and seating may be incorporated in the location just outside the Unity Hall doors in the former Prayer Sanctuary. As part of the relocation of prayer services to the Garden Chapel, the beautification team has been gathering vision from all stakeholders for its refresh as a next step. The vision is that Sanctuary Books and Gifts might become a beyond-Sunday offering, supporting those in our greater community during the week. If the pop-up proves viable, we will consider making it a permanent fixture in the new year.
Sanctuary Books and Gifts will close during Thanksgiving Service and reopen at 8 p.m. for the Pie Reception.
Please note: Sanctuary Books and Gifts will remain a cashless shop through the holidays.
