August 23, 2018 7:00 p.m. - Cognitive Bias

Greg Skuderin will share a program to support you in transcending your blind spots with rationality and honesty. Our “point of view” can often be greatly influenced by subconscious factors. Being aware that we may have cognitive biases can help us to see the world as it is, not as we are. During the presentation, we will examine what is a cognitive bias as well as why it is important to be aware of cognitive bias. We will discuss the most common cognitive biases and how we can free ourselves from their negative effects.
A freewill offering will be received. All proceeds will be shared with Center for Inquiry.
Greg Skuderin has been a member of Unity Spiritual Center for more than 13 years and has been studying New Thought philosophy for nearly 30 years. Scientific inquiry, rationality and the pursuit of the elusive “objective point of view” have always been driving factors in his spiritual, philosophical and historical pursuits. Greg has a Master’s degree in US History from the University of Arizona and is currently engaged in a self-study program to learn the Spanish language.
