Opening and Closing Prayers
You may use these for the opening and closing of your study group;
you may pray in your own words; or have someone in your group pray.
September 26 – October 2
We pray. The Spirit of God is within each of us. We are so blessed and grateful to be together sharing wisdom, understanding, compassion and grace. May we deepen our understanding of spiritual resilience, as we commit to the complex work of developing our own spiritual power. We release any doubt or worry and see ourselves as patient, trusting and strong in the love of God. Amen
Most amazing Spirit, I now immerse myself in your light within me. With every breath, I breathe your light into every part of me. You light my mind with right choices. Mighty currents of your presence in me minister to me in every needed and desired way. In the quiet, I listen for your still, small voice guiding my thoughts and my steps.
I affirm I am open and receptive to knowing and living from the divine power in me.
October 3 – 9
We pray. We are as God created us. We seek a greater understanding; a stronger knowing of all our abilities that are inherent. Let us release any thoughts of not enough or being bruised, damaged or lost. We commit ourselves to become more conscious of the Truth already manifested as our spirit, to bring forth into greater expression through our mind and body and emotions. We claim this through our living, loving Christ nature. Amen.
We pray. We let go and let God. We do what is ours to do and release the rest. We are equipped with powerful spiritual tools to use toward creating the life of our dreams. Through prayer and meditation, visualization, and affirmation, we are willing to work for what we want to see manifest in our life. We are grateful for all the wisdom and love and acceptance shared today. We bless each other in the name of our living, loving Christ nature. Amen.
October 10 – 16
We pray. When we put God first in our life, we know only peace. When the unconditional love of God fills our thoughts; it leaves no space for separation or judgment. As we take our first steps to spiritual mastery, we ignite the abilities of faith, strength, power and understanding to full expression in our life. Amen.
We pray. The Christ in us is training our ability of faith to detach itself from depending on outer conditions and helping it to focus on the presence and power of God. We are strong in the Lord. We have power in the words we speak and a compelling resonance in our voice. The light of understanding enables us to see clearly. We take right action. We are blessed and grateful to be with each other. To share our celebrations and challenges. We go forth with clarity, focus, ease and grace. Amen.
October 17 – 23
Say this one with feeling, it is meditative.
We pray. “I love You, O my God, and my only desire is to love You until the last breath of my life. I love You, O my infinitely lovable God, and I would rather die loving You, than live without loving You Lord and the only grace I ask is to love You eternally. My God, if my tongue cannot say in every moment that I love You, I want my heart to repeat it to You as often as I draw breath.”
St. John Vianney
We pray. We manifest our imagination ability to harmonize the power of wisdom and love. Visualize the Light of God enfolding you for just one minute . . . Rest there in the light (count to 60). Amen.
October 24 – 30
We pray. Use my words as your own. Repeat after me.
Father, today I ask forgiveness of all the negative and harmful words I have spoken about myself. I do not want to abuse myself in such a way again. Transform my thoughts and let me understand how marvelously you made me. Change my habits so I use my tongue to speak hope and favor upon my life.
Dear Lord, I thank You for the power of forgiveness, and I choose to forgive everyone who has hurt me. Help me set [name anyone who has offended you] free and release them to You [Romans 12:19]. Help me bless those who have hurt me [Romans 12:14]. Help me walk in righteousness, peace, and joy, demonstrating a radiant life here on earth. I choose to be kind and compassionate, forgiving others. [Ephesians 4:32]
All is well. Amen
We pray. We release anything and everything that no longer serves our unfolding good. We choose our good based on spiritual understanding. Our life is balanced and in order, all is well. We are grateful for the ability of wisdom, love and understanding shared with one another today and the time, grace, and forgiveness to grow towards these commitments as our mutual trust builds with one another.
October 31 – November 6
We pray. Revelations 3:22 He/she who has an ear, let him/her hear what the Spirit says.
The spiritual practice of zeal means being fully aroused by life. We tap into the divine energy that pulsates within us and around us. We are ready for anything that comes our way, and every moment is a golden gateway to new possibilities.
This spiritual practice includes a wholehearted delight in the senses and a passionate love for who we are and what we have been given. We are encouraged in its pursuit by our companions on the path and the countless teachers who stretch our souls. Our zeal moves us to live compassionately and to serve others. And so it is, amen and amen.
We pray. We enthusiastically accept our good and go forward to achieve our purpose. We are motivated from within by wisdom and love. We do that which is before us to do with unflagging zeal and enthusiasm. We work with the spring and speed of Spirit – easily, unhurriedly and gracefully. We claim this through our living, loving Christ nature and we are grateful. Amen.
November 7 – November 13
We pray. God loves me, God loves me, God. Loves. Me. I am amazed by it, I am grateful for it. I will discipline my time, I will discipline my thoughts, and I will discipline my actions in order to manifest my highest potential. Lord, grant that I may always allow myself to be guided by You,
always follow Your plans,
and perfectly accomplish Your Holy Will.
Grant that in all things,
great and small,
today and all the days of my life,
I may do whatever You require of me and live with passion on purpose.
I claim this through my living, loving Christ nature and so it is. Amen.
O God, we believe you are here. We adore you
and love you with our whole heart and soul
because you are most worthy of all our love.
We desire to love you as the blessed do in heaven…
Flood our souls with your spirit and life.
Penetrate and possess our whole being utterly,
that our lives may only be a radiance of yours.
Shine through us, and be so in us,
that every soul we come in contact with
may feel your presence in our soul.
Let them look up and see no longer us, but only you God!
The fruit of silence is prayer.
The fruit of prayer is faith.
The fruit of faith is love.
The fruit of love is service.
The fruit of service is peace. Amen.
