One of the joys of being a Unity Minister is seeing the advances of modern science confirm the spiritual principles and truths I teach.  My beliefs in the mystical teachings of prayer, multiple universes and windows of influence have always been a part of what Adolf Huxley called "The Perenial Philosophy;" teachings that have been true and useable for thousands of years, preceding the Christian era and sourcing from far older societies. These powerful influences work through invisible, non-tangible forces that are not limited by space or time.   Scientist have discovered that two atoms can occupy the exact same physical space, an event thought to be impossible by old science.   This explains why the choices we make can take us into entirely different consequences.   Indeed, our decisions lead us across the "mystical veil" into a totally different world. Our thoughts and choices change everything -- even the weather.   Recent advances in quantum physics and DNA research are shaking to pieces the foundations and the limitations of conventional Newtonian beliefs.   For example, It has long been taught that human beings use only 10% of the brain's capacity, leaving 90% unused.   This is a total error.   Researchers doing DNA mapping have shown that the 90% part of our brain is the part that handles language patterning and non-physical life interactions. It is the very location from which prayer operates.   This important breakthough explains "distant healing" and the impact of prayer when it is held and directed by a group.   The energy generated is larger and more powerful than that emanating from an atomic bomb.

We in Unity Spiritual Center have an enormously important role to perform in shaping and influencing world events, including both political and physical realms.  : As part of a larger whole that has impact on the world around it, our work is to make that impact a positive one for not only the present world population but for the generations that follow.   It is important that we expand our peaceful and gentle thoughts and prayers to end climatic changes and volcanic disturbations of the planet.   Our collective positive intentions can create world peace and save our future from calamities, war, and violent earth changes.

In the words of Margaret Mead, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."   We need only examine a few world events of significance to judge the truth behind these words.   Consider the world prayer events on December 31 and the subsequent collapse of communism and taking down the Berlin Wall.   Think about the thousands of small prayer groups that prayed for peace on the night that President Bush began the war against Iraq.   Can there be any other explanation for why, a half hour after the war started, President Bush lifted his phone and ordered all the military groups to "Stand Down!"
