 Unity
Spiritual Center is more than a member-owned place for events of a spiritual
nature. We are a warm and friendly community of like-minded people who
come from highly diverse backgrounds and differing economic, ethnic and
sociological groups. Like-minded does not mean that we accept fixed dogmas
or religious beliefs. We like to say we are spiritual, but not religious.
Our community is richly blessed by inclusion of people from virtually every
faith-based organization. Our center is open to all who come, regardless
of belief system, sexuality, age or physical or emotional limitations.
We are a healing and teaching center dedicated to lead people to be their
best self. We have no altar calls or baptism rituals.
We offer church services for adults and Sunday School for children from
babies to high school seniors. Many of our youth tell their parents that
they like coming to the "happy church." The youth learn the same lessons
as adults, including meditation, spiritual practices and practical life
skills. Sunday Service lessons and adult Unity classes are taught from both
a historical and a metaphysical interpretation perspective.
We love good music in our Sunday Services and offer choir, concerts
and other special performances. Our colorful flower gardens, meditation
garden, and two outdoor labyrinths enhance our active appreciation of nature.
What good be more soul-enhancing than an hour meditative walk on our 90
Ft labyrinth in the oak grove.
In our church services and Unity classes, we are offer a meditation
and Bibleoriented curriculum enriched with science, positive psychology
and practical methods for living a better life. We put a strong emphasis
on the teachings of Jesus and other Masters.. Some classes are book based,
usually chosen from our extensive bookstore. Throughout the year special
programs are offered with home-based groups studying the same materials
as taught on Sundays..In recent years we studied the Law of Attraction,
the teachings of Gandhi, Prosperity, and Healing.
We host a plethora of healing modalities and many practitioners who
offer healing services, as well asa rich and varied diet of life enhancing
classes and groups such as Meditation, Yoga, Mandela and Chakras; We some
host twelve-step groups and several A Course in Miracles groups. We support
several programs that help people in the surrounding cities and villages..
Unity Spiritual Center is a growing, ever-expanding spiritual community,
currently building a large expansion which will double our physical space
and increase our opportunities to be in service to those who are seeking
a spiritual life. |
