The Fall Program?

Unity Spiritual Center has been hosting Fall Programs for years. Each year the participants make wonderful friends studying a book in small groups, each with a facilitator. The Sunday Lessons and the in-home groups all will experience "Discover the Power Within You," a marvelous book by noted author, Eric Butterworth. DeAnna Moran is this years Fall Program Coordinator. Our Fall Program is a seven week focus on the inner work of spiritual transformation.  This is a time of letting go and moving into the powerful inner work of change.  Each week we will explore how changing our perspective and activating the inherent power and wisdom of the universe can radically change both us and our world.

We will gather on Sunday morning and focus on seven themes:  Divinity Within, The Nature of God, Being, Willingness, Abundance, Perception, and Discovering the Kingdom.  During the week you will have an opportunity to participate in a small group for discussion of the weekly reading assignment.  This is a time for sharing your individual and collective experience of these new ways of seeing and being in the world.  We will decorate our sanctuary, we will sing, we will affirm and we will sign weekly commitment cards.

We invite you to discover the best of who you are in our seven-week program.  Participate at a high level in the creation of your own life!

Join us for a special service in our sanctuary at 7:00 PM and stay to explore various healing modalities, a special labyrinth walk and workshops.

Weekly reading assignments will be on the info wall and in the September Newsletter.

"Shawls. . .made for centuries universal and embracing, symbolic of an inclusive, unconditionally loving God.  They wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give solace, mother, hug, shelter and beautify.
Those who have received these shawls have been uplifted and affirmed, as if given wings to fly above their troubles. . . "

The purpose of this ministry is to meet and create shawls while sharing love combined with prayer and meditation.  When the shawls are finished, they are presented to recipients who are undergoing life changes.  They can be used to bless those undergoing a medical procedure or to comfort those who have experienced a loss.  Prayer Shawls contribute to celebrating ceremonies of marriage and birthing.  The list is endless.  You have the option of choosing where your shawl is given.

This ministry is a national group and has already been started a Unity Church Centre in Girard and at Unity Church of the Crossroads in Strongsville.  I am excited about starting a group at USC.  I am requesting feedback from anyone who may be interested in attending this group.  The shawls may be knitted, crocheted, sewn, cross stitched and any other hand work you desire.  If you want to learn needle work I'm sure this can be arranged by others in the group.

    First I want to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to manage the bookstore. A special thank you to Deanna for your patience during the transition. We all know you're going to do an awesome job with the fall program.

      One of the first things I want to do is open the store extra hours, especially during special events and before the start of classes.
