| Dear Unity Spiritual Center Friends,
A few weeks have passed since a new year was rung in the world over.
It is now well underway and with it renewed hope of a better world
for ourselves personally and for our world community. There is much
to be done to raise the Christ consciousness in ourselves and in the world.
However, it is important to take a breather from time to time and to relax
into the improvements and changes we seek rather than tackling them.
Remember this as you proceed into the new year:
You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to be a perfect parent
or grandparent, a perfect caretaker, or perfect teacher. You don’t
have to do your job perfectly or be perfect in pursuing your spiritual
growth. Perfectionism can rob you of the joy of living faster than
anything else. So this year, just Live!; do your best and let that
be enough. Open your heart as wide as you can to let the love of
God that is within you spill out. Let the Divine guide where that
love goes and whom it touches. Life is not meant to be a mad dash
toward accomplishment. That is why we feel so out of balance when
we’re dashing. Our pursuit of human order is so much more easily
gained when we allow Divine Order to arrange it. Our
gifts of Love in its myriad forms are given so much more gracefully when
we allow the Divine to guide the giving.
Take a moment now to close your eyes and take a deep, deep breath.
Let it out ever so slowly, relaxing your shoulders, your chest, your entire
body. Shift into God-consciousness. It makes all the difference
in the world. |
