February, the Love month, is upon us.  Feeling loved, feels nice, but it's not nearly as good as giving love.  Giving love, without judgment, desire for appreciation, or anticipation of return, is simply the grandest of feelings.

Love is Consciousness expressing in one of its highest forms.  A Consciousness of Love gives - expresses - it doesn't need anything in return or expect anything, and wouldn't know what to do with it.  That's why it's God.  God is all things - all Consciousness - all love, always giving.  As we realize we are that Consciousness of Love expressing, it becomes easy to give love.  How do you know if what you are giving is love?  By not minding what happens when you give it.  Generally, however, you get good feelings, when you give unconditional love.

Listening and being present for another with no judgment or expectation is surely giving love.  We can be sure it is, because that's what God does for us.  God listens day and night, night and day, and is always present for us.  When we take time to connect with God in the way we like, we find the Presence again and again.

Love is easy to give when we park our egos in the garage, and set out to enjoy ourselves.  Love and Joy do go together.  Giving love in even the simplest forms - a prayer, a smile, a card, a phone call, a thought of forgiveness, a word of recognition, a touch on the arm, when given consciously, brings joy to the lover.
