Community Outreach Support Team
We are currently looking for new members for this team.

Purpose:
Unity Spiritual Center Prison Ministries is a new addition to the church and has high hopes for helping those members of society that are newly released or are about to be released from prison.  Our goal is to help them find a productive place in our ever changing world.

One of our goals is to see those needing GED's to help them achieve them, along with resume' writing and filling out employment applications,  Our dream is to set up classes for helping them achieve their reintegration into society.

Action:
  • Currently we are requesting members of the church to correspond with inmates by writing letters.  All mail will go through the church's office.  We request that when corresponding that you say gender neutral and sign the letters, "your friend in God".  We offer hope and encouragement to these inmates, both male and female.

  • We would like to set up a workshop for business owners and those in place of hiring to help these people re-enter society with productive employment.  When an inmate is released back into society, they are basically on their own.  With any criminal record it is hard to get employment, even fast food places will not hire them.  This workshop will explain the tax breaks and incentives for hiring those being re-entered to society.

Interest:
Those who are willing to volunteer with writing letters, helping in a workshop, or any portion of our addition,

please contact Bill Joyner 330.225.2343

It is time again for us to open our hearts to those more needy than ourselves.

Purpose:
To lend a helping hand to those in need and grow in our own loving consciousness by actively giving at a time when fear may be telling us we don't have enough to give.
