Inspiration
by James Dillet Freeman

Do you need Me?
I am there.
You cannot see Me, yet I am the light you see by.
You cannot hear Me, yet I speak through your voice.
You cannot feel Me, yet I am the power at work in your hands.
I am at work, though you do not understand My ways.
I am at work, though you do not recognize My works.
I am not strange visions. I am not mysteries.
Only in absolute stillness, beyond self, can you know Me as I am, and then but as a feeling and a faith.
Yet I am there. Yet I hear. Yet I answer.
When you need Me, I am there.
Even if you deny Me, I am there.
Even when you feel most alone, I am there.
Even in your fears, I am there.
Even in your pain, I am there.
I am there when you pray and when you do not pray.
I am in you, and you are in Me.
Only in your mind can you feel separate from Me, for only in your mind are the mists of “yours” and “mine.”
Yet only with your mind can you know Me and experience Me.
Empty your heart of empty fears.
When you get yourself out of the way, I am there.
You can of yourself do nothing, but I can do all.
And I am in all.
Though you may not see the good, good is there, for I am there.
I am there because I have to be, because I am.
Only in Me does the world have meaning; only out of Me does the world take form; only because of Me does the world go forward.
I am the law on which the movement of the stars and the growth of living cells are founded.
I am the love that is the law's fulfilling. I am assurance. I am peace. I am oneness. I am the law that you can live by. I am the love that you can cling to. I am your assurance. I am your peace. I am one with you. I am.
Though you fail to find Me, I do not fail you.
Though your faith in Me is unsure, My faith in you never wavers, because I know you, because I love you.
Beloved, I am there.

Prayer for Protection

James Dillet Freeman, Unity’s Poet Laureate, is the only author with two poems left on the moon.

His 1941 Prayer for Protection was taken aboard Apollo 11 in July 1969 by Lunar Module pilot Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr.   Aldrin had the poem with him when he made his historic moonwalk!

Two years later, Jim's 1947 poem, I Am There went to the moon with Colonel James B. Irwin on Apollo 15.

Irwin left a microfilm copy of the poem on the moon.

The light of God surrounds me;

The love of God enfolds me;

The power of God protects me;

The presence of God watches over me;

Wherever I am, God is!

Daily Inspiriation From Unity
How you have
uplifted me!
How you have
inspired me!
How you have
consoled me!
How you have
sustained me!

You’ve given a new beauty
and meaning to my life -
All the persons I know
by name
And the others I know
only by the beauty
of your souls
shining in your eyes.

Ah, the eyes – the glorious eyes!...
Some holy with perfect
joy and understanding
Others filled with the
Tears of divine seeking –
All pure and perfect
with the confession of
needing God, the eternal Presence

God hugs me
through you my friends
-Isn’t that an
Awesome thought?!

God loves us, through
each other
And enfolds us in a
blanket of Love –
Divine Love

Thank You God!

The Prayer of Faith

Hannah More Kohaus
God is my help in every need,
God does my every hunger feed.
God walks beside me,
Guides my way,
Through every moment of the day.

I now am wise, I now am true,
Patient kind and loving, too.
All things I am, can do and be,
Through Christ, the Truth, that lives in me.

God is my health,
I can't be sick!
God is my strength,
Unfailing --- quick!

God is my all,
I know no fear.
Since God, and Love,
And Truth are hereth"

Dear God,

I sought You out again today,
and right away, I began to pray.

At first I thanked You for the night,
and next I spoke of the day's sunlight.

I thanked You for my body's health,
and for all the ways that I have wealth.

I thanked You for my heart of peace,
and for my life that shows increase.

I thanked You for all I've known,
and for the ways that I have grown.

I thanked You for my heart's desires,
and all the things, I have admired.

I thanked You for my consciousness,
and all the ways that I've been blessed.

I thanked You for my sharp, clear mind,
and for your love for all mankind.

You've helped me in a million ways.
I thank you God for all my days.

Dear Wise One,

I seek your counsel every day,
As I try to make my way.

You speak to me in the silence now,
With each choice and decision, you show me how.

You are wise, good, and true,
I greatly appreciate what you do.
Dear God,

You grant me wisdom to always know,
What to do and which way to go.
You grant me guidance along the way,
As whom to talk to and what to say.
You grant me love to fill my heart,
Passing it on to others from the start.
Thank You, God, for your blessings large and small,
May your love abundantly be felt by all.
Dear God,

Thank you for this wonderful day,
And for all your love in every way.

You've given me strength the whole day through,
And shown me exactly what to do.

Your ever presence has kept me going,
And your divine care is always showing.

Thank you, God, again I say,
For giving me yet another day.
Dear Life-Giver,

You've given me life,
And for this I am grateful.
But when I'm in strife,
I close down.
Resistance sets in,
And I box myself in.
But then I pray.
Yes, I pray.
You remove the lid
and help me discover who I truly am.
